CA Vs Mba

There has always been an ongoing debate in the Indian corporate world about who is a better professional out of a Chartered Accountant and a Mba. People have put forward various arguments in this context. Some say that an Mba being better equipped with skills such as presentation, communication, analytical etc turns out o be a better professional and others argue that a CA who is more thorough, intelligent and hard working is much better. But if the recent placements and campus recruitments etc are to be seen, Mbas turn out to be the winners. Further, the Indian Inc has over a period shown more liking towards them. They certainly have scored over the Chartered Accountants in this regard.
So shall we all start believing that Mbas are better that us Chartered Accountants???????????

I invite your comments in this subject.

Callous attitude of Govt Agencies

You all might be witnessing the mushrooming of the malls n commercial complexes in and around Delhi. Has any one ever wondered whether we do need so many of commercial malls or movie theatres??? Authorities like DDA are just trying to make more and more money by just auctioning plots and land for only commercial complexes and malls. No one has ever given it a thought that over the past few years none has ever thought of improving the infrastructure in the city. Commercials complexes are constructed without even giving a thought to important issues such as parking.

Futher, no good government aided or funded hospitals, colleges, schools have been made in the recent past. there has been a dearth of good colleges in Delhi and the students have a tough seeking admission to colleges as there are not enough seats for them. So should goverment concentrate of making shopping malls or try to provide basic amenities and built infrastructure.

New Delhi demolitions – MCD in action

Recently Municiple Corporation of Delhi acted against unauthorised use of land. Its demolition drives millions of dehliets to spend sleepless nights. Who is responsible? people or MCD itself. This question stays still big and unanswered.

Delhi is going very fast under grip of few people. Thats what my personal feelings. We have seen many changes in policies in the area of Telecom, Power, Education and many more. People have not yet recovered from the Blow of Private power and telecom companies and yet another blow of demolition of there houses and shops shaken them by heart.

Few years later Delhi Government have a similar drive where it closed all the industries which are running in city limits of new Delhi. The benefit goes to NCR where there was no such rules to run a industry. Now closing the business shops will add more salt to people’s wounds.

This is a drive to make Delhi a better place of living, true!! Who will live here if there is no work to do? Neither common people have there shops, industry or any other earning opportunity. How the balance of living will be maintained?

Now lets analyze the facts for either part:

People flauted the rule by constructing more than 100% permisible FAR. Only 65% of the land should be constructed as per residential norms.

The next mistake people committed is again a blunder, using a residential property to a commercial one.

I agree 100% on above it is a mistake done by people and should be penalized. Fair enough !! Now please look at the following points and analyze your self, where the actual problem lies.

1. How MCD allowed people to construct more than 100$ coverage area?
2. How they allowed them to run commercial establishment from many years?
3. How electricity departments are charging them on the basis of commercial establishment norms.
4. How other authorities allowed them registrations.
5. How hospitals are running in residential properties.
6. How banks are operating in residential premisses.
7. Do local residents have a nearby commercial place developed by Government where they can buy there day to day needs?
8. Do Commercial premises developed by Government are affordable to all.
9. Are they well maintained and meeting all requisites of an commercial establishment?
10. Are they enough to meet the growing demand of people?

WOW !! cleanup your mind again. it is an invitation to private builders to build mall’s at each and every places, no matter whether people really want them or not. We need to beautify our city to one of the top cities of the world. We can if we too have same level of social security too for our citizens.

Do you think each state is an colony of India?

Freedom, A news paper released by banned outfit, Ulfa ( The United Liberation Front of Assam) has criticised the Italian media for its alleged “role in an international conspiracy” to malign the banned outfit and derail its nascent peace initiative.

In another significant comment made in the Freedom, the outfit has called upon Assam-based politicians from different political parties to work for attaining “sovereignty of Assam” instead of fighting among themselves to gain power in the state “under colonial Indian rulers”.

The Ulfa also alleged in its mouthpiece that every political party that has ruled the state so far, had failed to work for the development of the people of Assam. “The politicians from different political parties must understand that it is just not possible to develop Assam as along as it remains a colony of India,” Freedom said.

Great Eastern Hotel Kolkata, is no more

State owned Great Estern Hotel in Kolkata was one of the oldest hotel in India. It has history over 185 years and hosted many famous people i.e. Mark Twain, Ho Chi Minh, Nikita Khrushchev and Queen Elizabeth. This is over 12 Acres of land and heritage structure, Known as Jevel of east. As a part of privatization Government has disinvested its 90% of shares to Mr. Lalit Suri owners of Bharat Hotels for Rs. 52 Crores.

Now the hotel is renamed as Grand Great Eastern Hotel and will be converted into five start hotel. The important is the loction of this hotel. It is the most centrally located hotel in Kolkata in the heart of BBD Bag ( also known as Dalhausi). This is one of the costliest location in Kolkata.

Presently it has over 440 staffs and they have to leave the hotel once they get there dues back. This is another example, how a Government owned institution suffers loss due to mismanagement and seek privatisation to become a profitable institution.
